Disability service providers, such as Carinya Society, that are funded or registered by the Department of Health and Human Services to provide services to clients are required to meet the Human Services Standards and an associated management standard as part of their on-going registration requirements under the Disability Act 2006. An independent review by a certification body is required every 12 months, with a full re-certification once in every three year period. The assessments look at the organisation’s systems and processes and consider feedback from participants (and their families) and staff.
Carinya is proud to announce that it has recently successfully undertaken a full re-certification assessment by HDAA to the Human Services Standards and an initial certification to the new ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Standard. No non-conformance’s (improvements) were found which is a great result considering this was our first assessment to the new ISO Standard and no-doubt reflects the level of maturity of our quality management system and the ongoing quality of services that we provide. It was great to hear that participant and staff feedback continues to be very positive. The Management Team would like to thank all staff for their continued dedication and support to delivering consistent, quality, customer-centered supports to all of our participants and residential clients.
