Carinya Society acknowledges Australia’s first people as the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which we work and deliver our services.
In particular, Carinya Society would like to pay its respect to the Woiwurrung and Wurundjeri people whose lands occupies the Melbourne, Moreland City Council and specifically Coburg area where we are located.
We pay our respect to all these people, their cultures and to their elders both past and present. We appreciate your commitment to, and connection with, the land, community and particularly families.
Carinya Society also makes the commitment to continue to build on our understanding, appreciation and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people, their culture and their aspirations.
As an organisation, we are actively working towards developing its cultural competence by becoming culturally sensitive and providing a culturally safe service environment.
